How to Redeem a Minecraft Cape Code

A complete step-by-step guide to redeeming your Minecraft cape code and equipping your new cape in-game. Takes less than 2 minutes.

Redeeming your cape code is fast and straightforward. Once redeemed, your cape is permanently linked to your Minecraft account — it never expires and you can toggle it on or off whenever you like.

Before you start, make sure you have your cape code ready (check the email from your purchase) and that you know which Microsoft account your Minecraft is registered to.

01

Visit the official Minecraft redemption page

Go to Minecraft's official code redemption page. You'll need to be signed in to your Microsoft account.

Does it work on all servers? Yes. Your cape is visible to other players across both Java and Bedrock Edition — on every server that renders player capes, which includes virtually all of them — Hypixel, 2b2t, vanilla servers, and more.

Can other players see my cape? Yes. Other players on both Java and Bedrock Edition will see your cape on your character in multiplayer.
